On March 9, 2016, Shen Hanyao, Executive Chairman of the Forum and Dean of the Warton Economic Institute, visited MCC Group and exchanged views with MCC Vice President and Board Secretary Xiao Xuewen on the cooperation and promotion of infrastructure projects such as underground pipe corridors in some cities.

Vice President Xiao Xuewen firstly introduced the historical evolution and development status of MCC Group, and introduced that MCC Group's new strategic positioning is to be "the national team for metallurgical construction, the main force in capital construction, and the leader in emerging industries". Subsequently, Vice President Xiao Xuewen focused on the strategic layout of MCC Group in emerging industries such as beautiful countryside, smart cities, and urban integrated pipe gallery.

Chairman Shen Hanyao congratulated MCC Group for its remarkable achievements in the fields of urban integrated pipe gallery and other fields, and introduced the development history of the institute and the Chuzhou Zhongchuang Science and Technology City project planned and designed by our institute. The two parties agreed to comprehensively deepen the strategic partnership between the two parties, starting from projects such as the underground pipe gallery in the Chuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone.

Heads of MCC's domestic market development department, capital department, overseas project management department and other departments attended the meeting. During his stay in Beijing, Chairman Shen Hanyao also held talks with Zhang Jihua, Deputy Chief Accountant of China Railway, Minister of Financial Management Department, and Chen Shiping, General Manager of China Railway International Group.
